Not My Child - One week to go |
||
|
With just one week to go, parents and carers across Bedfordshire are reminded to book their place for Not My Child: A parent’s guide to exploitation, knife crime and county lines - a free, informative event taking place next Wednesday (15 April) from 6pm to 9.15pm at Lealands High School, Luton.
Children and young people can be targeted by criminal gangs in ways that are subtle and not always easy to recognise. This event is designed to give parents and carers practical, realistic advice on how exploitation can begin, the signs to look out for, and where to turn for support if you’re ever worried about a child in your life.
On the evening, you’ll hear from frontline experts and people with lived experience, including:
There will also be a market stall area where you can speak directly with charities and support services, pick up resources, and find out more about the help available locally and nationally.
Places are free but booking is essential - book your place via Eventbrite
If you know other parents, carers, schools or community groups who would benefit from attending, please help spread the word so we can reach as many families as possible.
Exploitation can happen to any child, and the more informed and alert we are as communities, the better chance we have of spotting concerns early and keeping young people safe.
